If you are interested in ADP as your preferred payroll software, you’ll still want to gather the same information as outlined in the above onboarding packet. Let us know your needs and we can help you decide which software will best suit your needs.
3. Gather and Submit Payroll History
Depending on the time of year, we may need to input payroll history. You have two options:
- Use Google Sheets (free with a Gmail account)
- Or download and fill out the Excel file (unzip after download)
- Once completed, either send it back to us or gather the same info and allow us to enter the data as part of your onboarding.
- New Hire Packets need to be filled by each employee! Patriot New Hire Packet ADP New Hire Packet
- For the payroll history we will need social security number and and address for people that worked for you and left before you joined with our payroll in the same tax year.
4. Decide How You’d Like to Run Payroll
Think about the structure that works for you:
- Are you paying yourself only or do you have a team?
- How often do you want to run payroll?
- Would you like features like vacation tracking, retirement deductions, or time card functions?
5. Review Flat Fee Pricing
We’ll go over pricing during your onboarding session and recommend a plan that fits your business size and goals.
6. Set Payroll Reminders on Your Calendar
If you use apps like Google Calendar on your smartphone, we suggest linking the email you’ll use for payroll communication and setting recurring reminders. This helps ensure you stay on track with payroll dates and don’t miss any important updates or reviews.
Let’s build a reliable payroll process together: one that fits your schedule, supports your team, and keeps your business in compliance.
